What I Wore | A Pop of Colour

Well it happened, I introduced colour into my wardrobe.

But truth be told the limited pops of colour in my wardrobe are sacred spaces reserved for the most beautiful and versatile of pieces. With its feminine design and romantic construction Trenery’s Confetti Print Skirt made the cut. If there is one thing I adore about winter dressing it is layering and putting together outfits featuring at least one item where the material is typically reserved for the warmer months. Case in point this silk like viscose skirt from one of my most trusted brands, Trenery. Though the weather is unseasonably warm at the moment for Sydney mid winter I see so much potential when it comes to creating different looks featuring one skirt. Today I wanted to blur the lines between masculine and feminine by juxtaposing the skirt’s whimsical cut and fabric against a more androgynous white tee shirt and sneakers. Once the weather drops the boots and knits will be brought out marrying the summery silk like viscose with traditional winter textiles like  leather and cashmere.

Opposites attract after all.

When temperatures descend it can be frustrating to mentally note all the items you need in preparation for the colder months ahead, but look to the items you have in your closet and see what you can work with in terms of layering and combining items typically reserved for separate seasons. Most importantly think ahead when making purchases, remember each piece is an investment so remember versatility is key and this is one of the fundamental reasons why I turn to Trenery time after time. I can count on them to build a workable, inter-changeable wardrobe.
