As a result of COVID 19 fashion show upon fashion show have faced cancellation globally. Disappointing but a necessary measure to ensure public safety. Decisions which I support.
I was particularly excited as I had been invited to my first shows as a media attendee which was a personal milestone I was honoured to achieve. However, I think we can all agree 2020 is on hold until further notice. In the end if a few fashion shows are all I have sacrificed in this chaos, then I consider myself incredibly fortunate when I look at the suffering globally.
Planning what and who you will wear is part of the excitement. In addition to Dion Lee, one of the designers I was blessed to be wearing was a beautiful suit from Sarah Lloyd’s new collection. Though it wasn’t able to be seen at fashion week, I thought why not let the craftsmanship be seen here. Burgundy was a step outside of my comfort zone, but a decision I am happy I took. I love my neutrals, click here to see the look in black, but what I adore about fashion is that you can explore so many facets of your personality. In the end it is about having fun and feeling good about yourself.
Here’s to a brighter 2021, may none of us ever take anything for granted ever again
