A striped shirt is an essential component to any wardrobe, it is a pattern that can be worn all year long and matched with everything from denim, to leather, skirts to shorts.
However, we all know stripes can be a challenge to pull off and I have come to realise that fabric choice plays a key role when working this pattern. For my small frame, the finer the fabric the more flattering the stripes will fall onto my body. Yet, as someone who spends far too much time people watching my observations have taught me that this rule can be applied to most body types. When it comes to playing with accessories I opt to keep things neutral with the introduction of tan colour palette. Not only does this aide in breaking up the look, adding both dimension and length but allows the stripes to truly pop.
